ROCKERS FOR ST JUDE: Producer Dick Wagner, "The Maestro of Rock," has gathered together an all-star band of rockers from across the history of rock n roll to record his song, “If I Had the Time (I Could Change the World),” donating their time and creative hearts to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Proceeds from downloads of the song benefit St. Jude.

Wagner tells us, “There is more love in the human heart than can ever be given away. This song is about giving a small part of that endless supply in your heart.”

Donating their time to record the song for St. Jude are celebrity musicians Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad), Lee Sklar (James Taylor) Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Trini Lopez (Lemon Tree), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart Group), Merilee Rush (Angel of the Morning), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Jean Beauvoir (The Plasmatics), Laurie Beebe Lewis (The New Mamas and the Papas), Jim Dandy (Black Oak Arkansas), The Angels (My Boyfriend’s Back), Dick and Dee Dee (Mountain High), Chris Sanders (Knight Fury), Fred Mandel (Elton John), Ray Colcord (Lou Reed), Nadir D’Priest (London), David Shankle (Manowar), Neil Turbin (Deathriders), Chris Holmes (Wasp), Billy Hinsche (Beach Boys), Black Oak Arkansas, Raymond Calhoun (Gap Band), Micki Free (Shalamar), the Artimus Pyle Band, Tim Bogert (Beck, Bogert and Appice), Prescott Niles (The Knack), Richie Onori (The Sweet), John Claude Gummoe (Rhythm of the Rain), Michael Angelo Batio (#1 Guitar World Magazine Best Shredder), Sal Valentino (Beau Brummels), Ross the Boss Friedman (Manowar), Chris Holmes (WASP), Bob Kulick (KISS), Vinny Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Dale Bozzio (Missing Persons), Ted Neeley (Jesus Christ Superstar), and more. Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood donated the recording studio time, and engineer Warren Huart (Aerosmith) has donated his engineering and mixing talents. The music video and documentary was filmed and directed by an award-winning team, led by cinematographer/DP Enzo Giobbe, joined by Jeremy Lanni of Noble Savage Productions and film editor, Karl Rausch (Louder than Love.)

“When I was asked to write a song to benefit the St. Jude’s children, I thought about what a song can mean in the context of our inner lives, the part that is willing to give, to help others in a time of need. ‘If I Had the Time (I Could Change the World)’ reflects the notion that we can do something positive to help change lives. The children are the purpose of this song, and everyone who participates in this recording gives a little of themselves. Wagner adds, “It’s a great honor for me to work with such diversified and talented people, toward helping the children at St. Jude. So we all come together, and in the words of Quincy Jones at the ‘We Are the World’ sessions, we leave our ‘egos at the door.’”
